Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Dinamo Tbilisi's Mirian Levidze started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cornell University's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sese Milakiev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The long shot by Aydin Gadaevi in the 18th minute really tested Roman Gabelia's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Anatoly Cheishvili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mirian Levidze, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 51st minute, Mirian Levidze left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Dinamo Tbilisi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Djvebe Jachvadze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Djvebe Jachvadze in the 59th minute of play forced FC Dinamo Tbilisi's goalkeeper Roman Gabelia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Djvebe Jachvadze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Gabelia having to interfere. If Lukhum Khatiashvili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 94 minutes, Djvebe Jachvadze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
