After having played for 14 minutes, Tsotne Burduli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canberra Raiders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tsotne Burduli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Canberra Raiders getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Emiriev Milakiev hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Canberra Raiders were awarded a corner. Andrey Mingrelsky went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Canberra Raiders's corner Andrey Mingrelsky fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jairo Peruxu quite easily take care of the ball. In the 21st match minute, Canberra Raiders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrey Mingrelsky to maneuver through the defense. Xiao Yuan Zhen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bondo Tsitsishvili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xiao Yuan Zhen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathieu Costermans in the 33rd minute of the match. Shoshita Urushadze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xiao Yuan Zhen having to interfere. In the 36thth minute of the game Shoshita Urushadze who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canberra Raiders's Xiao Yuan Zhen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute, Mathieu Costermans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xiao Yuan Zhen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tsotne Burduli to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Canberra Raiders's goalkeeper Xiao Yuan Zhen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th match minute, Canberra Raiders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djvebe Dzotsenidze to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shoshita Urushadze in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xiao Yuan Zhen saved Canberra Raiders from getting behind. Canberra Raiders's Xiao Yuan Zhen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shoshita Urushadze in the 68th minute of play. Xiao Yuan Zhen was a little too slow when Shoshita Urushadze got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-2. Xiao Yuan Zhen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Passos in the 73rd minute of the match. A throw-in in the 80th minute of the game was made by Davit Gagnidze with Shoshita Urushadze as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathieu Costermans got free with Xiao Yuan Zhen in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
