Spectators: 9199 (Terracing: 6901, Seating: 2115, VIP seats: 183) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lukhum Gagnidze kicked off to start the match. Merab Paghava charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Merab Paghava the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Marske-by-the-Sea got a freekick which was hit by Merab Paghava. With a little luck, Marske-by-the-Sea's Vaja Sulakvidze got control of the ball when Sergey Cheishvili tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vaja Sulakvidze made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gia Pilievi in the 15th minute. Marske-by-the-Sea's Vaja Sulakvidze proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Marske-by-the-Sea from getting a goal against them. Bondo Salia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Tsotne Paghava tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Aydin Bitsadze cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tsotne Paghava was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vaja Sulakvidze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gia Pilievi, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Vaja Sulakvidze made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Gia Pilievi sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Imeda Tsitsishvili got free with Vaja Sulakvidze in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 34 played minutes Lukhum Gagnidze rounded Marske-by-the-Sea's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charilaos Mouzakis made a kick off. Vaja Sulakvidze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergey Cheishvili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valeri Labadze took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vaja Sulakvidze. Vaja Sulakvidze dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After some careless play in the Marske-by-the-Sea defense, Lukhum Gagnidze kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vaja Sulakvidze. The Marske-by-the-Sea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vaja Sulakvidze should have stopped the shot. Marske-by-the-Sea's Vaja Sulakvidze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukhum Gagnidze in the 70th minute of play. Aydin Bitsadze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 74 minutes, Imeda Tsitsishvili mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Petersfield and the Marske-by-the-Sea players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vaja Sulakvidze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergey Cheishvili, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Marske-by-the-Sea's Vaja Sulakvidze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gia Pilievi in the 80th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 82 minutes into the game, when Gia Andrzheevskiy put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Marske-by-the-Sea fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! The supporters of Marske-by-the-Sea booed when Petersfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Imeda Tsitsishvili didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Petersfield's Tsotne Paghava got control of the ball when Uta Kamadadze tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aydin Bitsadze's late challenge caught a Petersfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aydin Bitsadze helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Aydin Bitsadze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vaja Sulakvidze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Imeda Tsitsishvili, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Marske-by-the-Sea's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
