After a rather tough play, Kutaisi FC's Torgva Alania got a free kick in the 10th minute. Kvarkvare Gvaramadze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gia Milakiev having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merdan Pulishvili in the 17th minute of play forced Thamesmead's goalkeeper Gia Milakiev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kvarkvare Gvaramadze charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kvarkvare Gvaramadze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mindia Anghelache struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Sese Goloviznin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thamesmead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mindia Anghelache in the 25th minute of play forced Kutaisi FC's goalkeeper Sese Goloviznin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26thth minute of the game Mindia Anghelache who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kutaisi FC's Sese Goloviznin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mindia Anghelache in the 28th minute of play forced Kutaisi FC's goalkeeper Sese Goloviznin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sese Goloviznin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mindia Anghelache in the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of Thamesmead booed when Kutaisi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiriev Andrzheevskiy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emiriev Andrzheevskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Gia Milakiev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emiriev Andrzheevskiy was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Kutaisi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torgva Alania to maneuver through the defense. Kutaisi FC's Sese Goloviznin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mindia Anghelache in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kutaisi FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valeri Gvaramadze was slow to take the kick. During this time Thamesmead's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Thamesmead's Valeri Gvaramadze to fire away a dangerous shot which Sese Goloviznin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Semen Magalov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thamesmead's supporters crossed their fingers, but Semen Magalov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sese Goloviznin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mindia Anghelache in the 67th minute of play. Emiriev Andrzheevskiy might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gia Milakiev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emiriev Andrzheevskiy ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd minute, Semen Magalov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sese Goloviznin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gia Milakiev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiriev Andrzheevskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, one of Kutaisi FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kutaisi FC. In the 87th minute, Emiriev Andrzheevskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Mindia Pawletko made a precise shot to the right of Sese Goloviznin. Kutaisi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. A collision led to Thamesmead getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Mindia Pawletko hit a great ball. When Kvarkvare Gvaramadze came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Kutaisi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kvarkvare Gvaramadze couldn't finish the play.
