The referee ignored Kutaisi FC's protests and gave Kvarkvare Gvaramadze a yellow card for diving instead. Gia Gogava received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. After a rather tough play, Kutaisi FC's Kvarkvare Gvaramadze got a free kick in the 29th minute. A collision led to Kutaisi FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Kutaisi FC's Sese Goloviznin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Kutaisi FC from getting a goal against them. Merdan Pulishvili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Beka Sagharadze hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Kutaisi FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Beka Sagharadze fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sese Goloviznin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsen Jandieri in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Amiran Andrzheevskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rioni Kutaisi AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amiran Andrzheevskiy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sese Goloviznin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Merdan Pulishvili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rioni Kutaisi AFC played a much better game than Kutaisi FC and deserved their victory. The Kutaisi FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
