Spectators: 8147 (Terracing: 6111, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 162) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cavanşir Mirzäyev started the match with the kick off. Firuz Rähimov hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Mövlüd Paşayev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Mövlüd Paşayev came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Balakän fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mövlüd Paşayev couldn't finish the play. Vaqif Abdulxälilov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cavanşir Mirzäyev went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Vaqif Abdulxälilov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cavanşir Mirzäyev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Balakän's zone, Cavanşir Mirzäyev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaqif Abdulxälilov came out of the goal and Cavanşir Mirzäyev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eldäniz Quliyev kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Sabirabad Birliyi's Qurban Abdiyev in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Balakän's goalie prevented a goal. Vaqif Abdulxälilov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qurban Abdiyev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cavanşir Mirzäyev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Vaqif Abdulxälilov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Mövlüd Paşayev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Balakän:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sabirabad Birliyi:s goal. Adil Talıblı walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a defensive mix-up in Balakän's zone, Cavanşir Mirzäyev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaqif Abdulxälilov came out of the goal and Cavanşir Mirzäyev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramiz Ändärov during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cavanşir Mirzäyev showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cavanşir Mirzäyev in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vaqif Abdulxälilov saved Balakän from getting behind. With his leg Vaqif Abdulxälilov managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Sabirabad Birliyi's Qurban Abdiyev fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cavanşir Mirzäyev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vaqif Abdulxälilov having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Atilla Vermäzov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sabirabad Birliyi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balakän the free kick. In the 91st match minute, Sabirabad Birliyi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilla Vermäzov to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Atilla Vermäzov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 96 minutes, Atilla Vermäzov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabirabad Birliyi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atilla Vermäzov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cavanşir Mirzäyev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vaqif Abdulxälilov having to interfere. When the match was over Sabirabad Birliyi could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Balakän throughout the match.
