Hidayät Abduläzimov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fuad Alxanov in the 7th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Telman Bağirov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ziyad Gärayev was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. The supporters of Qobustan booed when QARABAGH FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tağı Daşdıyev didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Älağa Ämircanov made the kick off in the second half. QARABAGH FC's Kärim Cämilov got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Telman Bağirov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Ziyad Gärayev made a huge save. Hidayät Abduläzimov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loğman Ağäliyev in the 59th minute of the match. Hidayät Abduläzimov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loğman Ağäliyev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Fuad Alxanov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loğman Ağäliyev in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hidayät Abduläzimov saved QARABAGH FC from getting behind. Hidayät Abduläzimov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fuad Alxanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Fuad Alxanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to QARABAGH FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ähsän Säfärov hit a great ball. In the 88th minute Loğman Ağäliyev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayät Abduläzimov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hidayät Abduläzimov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fuad Alxanov in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Fuad Alxanov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Qobustan's supporters rose to their feet, but Fuad Alxanov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hidayät Abduläzimov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. QARABAGH FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Qobustan had controlled the match.
