To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Märdan Yusubov managed to get in a good position for a shot. İrəvan FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Märdan Yusubov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hidayät Abduläzimov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of İrəvan FK booed when QARABAGH FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kärim Cämilov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hidayät Abduläzimov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. QARABAGH FC's Hidayät Abduläzimov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inqilab Azadäliyev in the 40th minute of play. Cavanşir Abdulhäşimov hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

Märdan Yusubov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th play minute Märdan Yusubov came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hidayät Abduläzimov. 1-1. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in İrəvan FK reached it. Märdan Yusubov scored 1-2 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hidayät Abduläzimov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Inqilab Azadäliyev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayät Abduläzimov having to interfere. İrəvan FK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
