The supporters of GenC AslaNlaR booed when Zängilan AŞ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eldäniz Äzizov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maarif Cämilov, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Muğan Hüseyinli in the 19th managed to get into a good position. Zängilan AŞ's Äziz Äliyev got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Äziz Äliyev to make the kick off. Muğan Hüseyinli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ämin Xasiyev having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Firuz Şamilov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niyazi Isayev during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zängilan AŞ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
