Mämmädbağır Utandiyev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cuma Balacayev in the 34th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tofiq Cäfärli during the 35th minute. After the first half SanSon were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Äşräf Qährämanov was the one to do the kick off. Mämmädbağır Utandiyev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Söhrab Israfilov in the 55th minute. Chinar Cebrayil FK's Mämmädbağır Utandiyev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Chinar Cebrayil FK from getting a goal against them. When SanSon's Söhrab Israfilov in 61 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Mämmädbağır Utandiyev guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Mämmädbağır Utandiyev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mämmädbağır Utandiyev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Söhrab Israfilov in the 85th minute. Mämmädbağır Utandiyev was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Söhrab Israfilov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 86 minute of play. SanSon's Cuma Balacayev got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
