Qarabağ's Hidayät Äläkbärov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Qarabağ from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hafis Ağamirzadä to make the kick off. A collision led to ARBO FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Soltanmäcid Cäbiyev hit a great ball. Hidayät Äläkbärov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fariz Utanov in the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Pänah Gözälov made a precise shot to the right of Hidayät Äläkbärov. That made the score 5-1 in the 81 minute of play. In the 88th minute, Mämmäd Ämrahov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hidayät Äläkbärov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hafis Ağamirzadä went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ARBO FC fully deserved thier win.
