Qäbälä's Mätläb Abdulxaliqov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilla Ağalarov in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute Gäray Ibrahimov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mätläb Abdulxaliqov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mätläb Abdulxaliqov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Älibaba Ähädli in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Gäray Ibrahimov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mätläb Abdulxaliqov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Mätläb Abdulxaliqov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Älibaba Ähädli in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Gäray Ibrahimov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mätläb Abdulxaliqov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Älibaba Ähädli in the 28th minute of play forced Qäbälä's goalkeeper Mätläb Abdulxaliqov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the game, GALATASARAY's Gäray Ibrahimov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mätläb Abdulxaliqov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. With 33 minutes on the clock, Atilla Ağalarov commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 33 minutes into the game, one of GALATASARAY:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 35th minute there was a penalty for Qäbälä. Rüfät Ähmädov stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mehralı Abişov. 1-4. If Gäray Ibrahimov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Gäray Ibrahimov notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Qäbälä's Mätläb Abdulxaliqov. Mätläb Abdulxaliqov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45th minute, Gäray Ibrahimov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GALATASARAY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. Disappointed in the 1-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Qäbälä's zone, Gäray Ibrahimov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mätläb Abdulxaliqov came out of the goal and Gäray Ibrahimov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mätläb Abdulxaliqov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Surxay Näcäfov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Rüfät Abdulxaliqov got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 71 minutes into the game, Gäray Ibrahimov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-8. Mätläb Abdulxaliqov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Şahin Gärayev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Mehralı Abişov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Rafik Hämidov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gäray Ibrahimovs short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Mätläb Abdulxaliqov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 88thth minute of the game Älibaba Ähädli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Qäbälä's Mätläb Abdulxaliqov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mätläb Abdulxaliqov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gäray Ibrahimov in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Qäbälä's Sadiq Ağamirzadä got a free kick in the 94th minute. Mätläb Abdulxaliqov was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Älibaba Ähädli. The Qäbälä fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GALATASARAY were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
