Güman Dadaşov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tural Alişanov having to interfere. Tural Alişanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fäxräddin Pänahov in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Kärim Äsädov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sheki United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yardımlı the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fäxräddin Pänahov couldn't finish the play. Yardımlı's Tural Alişanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güman Dadaşov in the 43rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ilqar Zeydiyev during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sheki United getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ilqar Zeydiyev hit a great ball. Imamqulu Äkbärov shot from long distance in the 48th minute, but Suday Ağabäyov was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After the first half Sheki United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abülfäz Alesrefov was the one to do the kick off. Zakir Feruzov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tural Alişanov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zakir Feruzov in the 55th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Abülfäz Alesrefov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Suday Ağabäyov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd minute, Zakir Feruzov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tural Alişanov made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Fäxräddin Pänahov sent off a good shot on target. Abülfäz Alesrefov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Yardımlı's Tural Alişanov got control of the ball when Fäxräddin Pänahov tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st match minute, Sheki United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilqar Zeydiyev to maneuver through the defense.
