The crowd rose to their feet as Anísio da Costa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Äliqulu Cäfärov. That made the score 4-0 in the 15 minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Bent Raison could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Äliqulu Cäfärov however easily saved by the left post. After 20 minutes, Namaz Albändiyev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tärtär PFK and the Qarabag CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Namaz Albändiyev hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Qarabag CF's Bent Raison was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 22nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A hard shot 25 in the game by Bent Raison from a close distance when the talented Äliqulu Cäfärov managed to make a qualified save. Tärtär PFK's players were relieved. 32 minutes into the match, Tärtär PFK's goal looked a bit too open when Bent Raison came free, but Äliqulu Cäfärov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Äliqulu Cäfärov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Qarabag CF's Bent Raison got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute Müşfiq Qäribov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Äliqulu Cäfärov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Qarabag CF's zone, Qara Ağabäyov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feruz Abbasäliyev came out of the goal and Qara Ağabäyov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute Häsän Zülfüqarov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Äliqulu Cäfärov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Älibaba Zeydiyev charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Qarabag CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Müşfiq Qäribov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Äliqulu Cäfärov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bent Raison in the 67th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Bent Raison's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Äliqulu Cäfärov was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. 71 minutes into the match, Anísio da Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Äliqulu Cäfärov. Tärtär PFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anísio da Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0.
