Niyaz Äläsgärov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vüqar Älişov, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 33rdth minute of the game Miräzim Hacibäyov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Naftalan PFC's Göyüş Abişov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Qazımämmädli's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Bernal came free, but Niyaz Äläsgärov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vüqar Älişov took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niyaz Äläsgärov. Niyaz Äläsgärov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elgiz Alcanov in the 48th minute of play forced Qazımämmädli's goalkeeper Niyaz Äläsgärov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miräzim Hacibäyov to make the kick off. Göyüş Abişov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehdixan Qämbärov in the 53rd minute of the match. Elburus Älibäyli scored 1-4 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Göyüş Abişov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 61 minutes into the match, Naftalan PFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mehdixan Qämbärov came free, but Göyüş Abişov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ehtibar Eldarov fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Qazımämmädli's protests and gave Ehtibar Eldarov a yellow card for diving instead. Ehtibar Eldarov kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Qazımämmädli's Elburus Älibäyli got a free kick in the 70th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Naftalan PFC's Angel Bernal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Niyaz Äläsgärov. That made the score 1-5 after 73 minutes of play. Niyaz Äläsgärov made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Vüqar Älişov sent off a good shot on target. Qazımämmädli's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Älirza Alduxov scored to the left of an out of position Niyaz Äläsgärov, making the score, 1-6. Miräzim Hacibäyov kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Niyaz Äläsgärov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Älirza Alduxov, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Angel Bernal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Niyaz Äläsgärov made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Vüqar Älişov took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Niyaz Äläsgärov to make any attempt to save it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Naftalan PFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
