Färman Cäfärquliyev kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Qaraçuxur's goalkeeper Änvär Gärayev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vüqar Älişov in the 17th minute of play forced Qaraçuxur's goalkeeper Änvär Gärayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Dawid Pietrowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Änvär Gärayev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Änvär Gärayev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vüqar Älişov, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, Qaraçuxur's Rähim Äşräfov got a free kick in the 25th minute. Vüqar Älişov's late challenge caught a Qaraçuxur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. After a rather tough play, Naftalan PFC's Vüqar Älişov got a free kick in the 27th minute. Rähim Almämmädov's late challenge caught a Naftalan PFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rähim Almämmädov helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Qaraçuxur getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Rähim Almämmädov hit a great ball. Änvär Gärayev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vüqar Älişov in the 36th minute of play. Ziyäddin Räfiyev's late challenge caught a Naftalan PFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ziyäddin Räfiyev helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Qaraçuxur got a freekick which was hit by Ziyäddin Räfiyev. Änvär Gärayev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vüqar Älişov's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. When Ehsan Abduyev fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Qaraçuxur's protests and gave Ehsan Abduyev a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Naftalan PFC booed when Qaraçuxur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ehsan Abduyev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rähim Almämmädov to make the kick off. If Elgiz Alcanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 58 minutes into the match, Angel Bernal notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Qaraçuxur's Änvär Gärayev. Änvär Gärayev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. During the 65th minute of the match Ziyäddin Räfiyev completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ziyäddin Räfiyev a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Naftalan PFC booed when Qaraçuxur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ziyäddin Räfiyev didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nazir Äşräfov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Älirza Alduxov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Naftalan PFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Älirza Alduxov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Änvär Gärayev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Änvär Gärayev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vüqar Älişov in the 71st minute of play. If Vüqar Älişov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rähim Äşräfov helped the player get up and apologised. Rähim Äşräfov hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Naftalan PFC's Vüqar Älişov in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vüqar Älişov was extremely unlucky when he, in the 89th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Änvär Gärayev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vüqar Älişov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Änvär Gärayev was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Vüqar Älişov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vüqar Älişov really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Naftalan PFC played a much better game than Qaraçuxur and deserved their victory. The Qaraçuxur players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
