Spectators: 10791 (Terracing: 8094, Seating: 2482, VIP seats: 215) Abşeron's Vasya Utanov started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Äkbär Atakişiyev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abşeron's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Baku the free kick. The supporters of FK Baku booed when Abşeron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Äkbär Atakişiyev didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rüfät Salmanov fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abşeron's protests and gave Rüfät Salmanov a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Rüfät Salmanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tural Zeynalov kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Maşallah Alxanov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mabud Äsgärov's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Yusif Eminov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camaläddin Bağiyev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The FK Baku fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when FK Baku's Mabud Äsgärov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Abşeron's Maşallah Alxanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mabud Äsgärov in the 36th minute of play. After 36 minutes, Göycä Bilalov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abşeron and the FK Baku players grew even worse after the yellow card. Göycä Bilalov kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Mabud Äsgärov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute Arnaud Vandamme suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vasya Utanov during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 42 minutes into the match, Abşeron's goal looked a bit too open when Mabud Äsgärov came free, but Maşallah Alxanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FK Baku getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Hugo Barreto hit a great ball. In the 45th match minute, Abşeron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Äkbär Atakişiyev to maneuver through the defense. Yusif Eminov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camaläddin Bağiyev, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half FK Baku were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Abşeron's Säbuhi Zakirov was substituted for Camaläddin Bağiyev. After having played for 54 minutes, Vasya Utanov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abşeron's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasya Utanov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, Vasya Utanov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yusif Eminov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasya Utanov in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to FK Baku getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ilyas Talıblı hit a great ball. Säbuhi Zakirov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yusif Eminov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasya Utanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Yusif Eminov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Säbuhi Zakirov in the 78th minute of the match. Abşeron's Säbuhi Zakirov got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Säbuhi Zakirov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abşeron's supporters rose to their feet, but Säbuhi Zakirov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yusif Eminov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Teymur Mämmädov sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FK Baku's Yusif Eminov didn't even have to move. In the 88th minute Rüfät Salmanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yusif Eminov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vasya Utanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Yusif Eminov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FK Baku getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Saatxan Vermäzov hit a great ball. Yusif Eminov came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Abşeron's Säbuhi Zakirov. But to his dismay, Säbuhi Zakirov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some careless play in the FK Baku defense, Vasya Utanov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yusif Eminov. The FK Baku fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yusif Eminov should have stopped the shot. Abşeron's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
