Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rayleigh's Kouros Ahmadzadeh started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rayleigh's Kouros Ahmadzadeh got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 6 minutes into the game, Kouros Ahmadzadeh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mehdi Jalaeepour was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Westbury-sub-Mendip's goalkeeper Mehdi Jalaeepour, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rayleigh's Mostafa Habibi got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Westbury-sub-Mendip were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Rayleigh's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mohammad Jalaeepour took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Mohammad Jalaeepour got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Soroush Alavi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Rayleigh's zone, Khashayar Rohani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Soroush Alavi came out of the goal and Khashayar Rohani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mehdi Jalaeepour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kouros Ahmadzadeh in the 27th minute of play. Mostafa Habibi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Mehdi Jalaeepour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mehdi Jalaeepour came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Rayleigh's Kouros Ahmadzadeh. But to his dismay, Kouros Ahmadzadeh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, Rayleigh's goalkeeper Soroush Alavi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arzhang Roudbarian. After 38 minutes Rayleigh's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mohammad Jalaeepour who took care of the corner kick. After 39 played minutes Rayleigh got a freekick which was hit by Mostafa Habibi. In the 40th minute, Mohammad Jalaeepour got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mehdi Jalaeepour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mostafa Habibi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mostafa Habibi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Mehdi Jalaeepour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Khashayar Rohani made the kick off in the second half. Mehdi Jalaeepour made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mostafa Habibi in the 53rd minute. Kouros Ahmadzadeh had several of the Westbury-sub-Mendip's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 57 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Mehdi Jalaeepour as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 61st minute, Mostafa Habibi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mehdi Jalaeepour was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Westbury-sub-Mendip's Mehdi Jalaeepour proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Westbury-sub-Mendip from getting a goal against them. Mehdi Jalaeepour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kouros Ahmadzadeh, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Mehdi Jalaeepour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kouros Ahmadzadeh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Rayleigh's Mostafa Habibi got a free kick in the 94th minute. Soroush Alavi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Khashayar Rohani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Mostafa Habibi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayleigh's supporters rose to their feet, but Mostafa Habibi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehdi Jalaeepour breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rayleigh played a much better game than Westbury-sub-Mendip and deserved their victory. The Westbury-sub-Mendip players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
