Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Majid Aghazadeh got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute of the game, Farzam Taghavian landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Sohrab Ahmadzadeh's late challenge caught a Jarrow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sohrab Ahmadzadeh helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes South Shields got a freekick which was hit by Sohrab Ahmadzadeh. In the 6th match minute, South Shields was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sohrab Ahmadzadeh to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in South Shields's zone, Bamdad Mousavi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rashid Kaebi came out of the goal and Bamdad Mousavi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. South Shields's Rashid Kaebi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bamdad Mousavi in the 12th minute of play. In the 24th minute Salar Azizi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kambiz Rahmati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amir Mahdi Mirzaei during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amir Mahdi Mirzaei hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Touraj Rezazadeh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Jarrow getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Majid Aghazadeh hit a great ball. Ashkan Firoozabadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kambiz Rahmati having to interfere. After 37 played minutes South Shields got a freekick which was hit by Ashkan Firoozabadi. Salar Azizi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Bamdad Mousavi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jarrow's supporters rose to their feet, but Bamdad Mousavi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rashid Kaebi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute Bamdad Mousavi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rashid Kaebi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Ashkan Firoozabadi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Shields's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ashkan Firoozabadi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Touraj Rezazadeh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Kambiz Rahmati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salar Azizi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Jarrow's Cyrus Hasanlou got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute, Salar Azizi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Touraj Rezazadeh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kambiz Rahmati having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Jarrow got a freekick which was hit by Faramarz Eslami. If Bamdad Mousavi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bamdad Mousavi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rashid Kaebi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bamdad Mousavi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rashid Kaebi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. When Salar Azizi came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the South Shields fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salar Azizi couldn't finish the play. Bamdad Mousavi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rashid Kaebi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Jarrow's Amir Mahdi Mirzaei got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Ashkan Firoozabadi charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ashkan Firoozabadi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Jarrow booed when South Shields was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ashkan Firoozabadi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jarrow's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
