Anoush Ghasemlou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Arzhang Ghayeghran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheffield's supporters rose to their feet, but Arzhang Ghayeghran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iraj Hashemian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1-0 became the score in the 32nd minute when Anoush Ghasemlou elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Koohyar Asgharzadeh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hossein Taleblou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koohyar Asgharzadeh, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Koohyar Asgharzadeh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anoush Ghasemlou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iraj Hashemian having to interfere. If Arzhang Ghayeghran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arzhang Ghayeghran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sheffield's goalkeeper Hossein Taleblou, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Sheffield's Hossein Taleblou got control of the ball when Zia Rahmati tried to sneak it across the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Sheffield's goalkeeper Hossein Taleblou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zia Rahmati. When Koohyar Asgharzadeh came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Bayton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Koohyar Asgharzadeh couldn't finish the play.
