Pahlavi AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perspolis the free kick. After 19 played minutes Pahlavi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hormoz Bahonar. 24 minutes into the game, Perspolis's Cyrus Taghavi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kamal Khakpour made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Abou Ali Modiri's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Soheil Mazloumi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 31 minutes into the match, Perspolis's goal looked a bit too open when Gholam Reza Bagheri came free, but Soheil Mazloumi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gholam Reza Bagheri had several of the Perspolis's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Soheil Mazloumi as he didn't even see the shot coming. 37 minutes into the match, Perspolis's goal looked a bit too open when Gholam Reza Bagheri came free, but Soheil Mazloumi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soheil Mazloumi came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Pahlavi AFC's Abou Ali Modiri. But to his dismay, Abou Ali Modiri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Gholam Reza Bagheri received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Soheil Mazloumi came out and tried to block the shot, but Gholam Reza Bagheri slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 43rd minute. When Gholam Reza Bagheri came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Pahlavi AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gholam Reza Bagheri couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

After 55 minutes of play, Pahlavi AFC's Gholam Reza Bagheri made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Soheil Mazloumi was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Perspolis's Cyrus Taghavi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kamal Khakpour. That made the score 4-2 after 58 minutes of play. In the 61st minute Abou Ali Modiri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Soheil Mazloumi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abou Ali Modiri in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Soheil Mazloumi saved Perspolis from getting behind. After 65 played minutes Perspolis got a freekick which was hit by Peyman Mofti. If Gholam Reza Bagheri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kamal Khakpour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyrus Taghavi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute Abou Ali Modiri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Soheil Mazloumi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pahlavi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abou Ali Modiri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pahlavi AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
