Bolton City's Zia Sajjadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shahram Narimani in the 8th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Shahram Narimani put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Zia Sajjadi. After 13 played minutes Bolton City got a freekick which was hit by Mahbod Farahmand. A collision led to Bolton City getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Mahbod Farahmand hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute Shahram Narimani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zia Sajjadi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Shahram Narimani notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Bolton City's Zia Sajjadi. Zia Sajjadi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whittlesey. Hamed Rezaei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Zia Sajjadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shahram Narimani in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zia Sajjadi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Whittlesey getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Massoud Parsivand hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Shahram Narimani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shahram Narimanis short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Zia Sajjadi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Iraj Vahabzadeh's late challenge caught a Bolton City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iraj Vahabzadeh helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th match minute, Whittlesey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iraj Vahabzadeh to maneuver through the defense. Shahram Narimani in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zia Sajjadi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Rostam Naghavian fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolton City's protests and gave Rostam Naghavian a yellow card for diving instead. Cyrus Taheri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. When the final whistle sounded Whittlesey left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bolton City.
