To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the match, Birkenhead's Rakhshan Badamaki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aram Ghasemlou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salman Zahedi during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pasargad FC booed when Birkenhead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salman Zahedi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Iranian in the 80th minute of play forced Birkenhead's goalkeeper Bahman Rafipour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aram Ghasemlou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Younes Abedzadeh in the 82nd minute of the match. If Younes Abedzadeh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rakhshan Badamaki scored 4-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aram Ghasemlou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Birkenhead fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pasargad FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
