The referee ignored Bolton City's protests and gave Jahandar Taslimi a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Bolton City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barhill:s goal. After some careless play in the Bolton City defense, Siavash Farahmand kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zia Sajjadi. The Bolton City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zia Sajjadi should have stopped the shot. After 41 played minutes Barhill got a freekick which was hit by Mahbod Sajjadi. After having played for 44 minutes, Mahmoud Nikbakht-Vahedi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barhill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mahmoud Nikbakht-Vahedi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bolton City's zone, Behrad Hashemian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zia Sajjadi came out of the goal and Behrad Hashemian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Bardia Majidi's late challenge caught a Bolton City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bardia Majidi helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes Barhill got a freekick which was hit by Bardia Majidi. 55 minutes into the match, Barhill's goalkeeper Rambod Shakibaei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shayan Javaherian. Mahmoud Nikbakht-Vahedi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Zia Sajjadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Behrad Hashemian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zia Sajjadi having to interfere.
