Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After a defensive mix-up in Birkenhead's zone, Amir Hamidi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bahman Rafipour came out of the goal and Amir Hamidi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Birkenhead's goal looked a bit too open when Sattar Omrani came free, but Bahman Rafipour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehrzad Peirovani charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mehrzad Peirovani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pocklington AFC's Mehrzad Peirovani got a free kick in the 12th minute. Younes Abedzadeh's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Farhad Talebi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 17 played minutes Pocklington AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mehrzad Peirovani. When Amir Hamidi fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pocklington AFC's protests and gave Amir Hamidi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Amir Hamidi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Farhad Talebi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rakhshan Badamaki in the 25th minute of play. Farhad Talebi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Younes Abedzadeh in the 28th minute. Younes Abedzadeh succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 29th playminute. 33 minutes into the match, Pocklington AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rakhshan Badamaki came free, but Farhad Talebi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amir Hamidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahman Rafipour having to interfere. Anoush Shahbazi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahman Rafipour having to interfere. Borzoo Farhadi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anoush Shahbazi in the 42nd minute of play forced Birkenhead's goalkeeper Bahman Rafipour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sina Hosseini hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Pirooz Talebi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anoush Shahbazi to make the kick off. Amir Hamidi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bahman Rafipour having to make a save. If Younes Abedzadeh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bahman Rafipour showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sina Hosseini in the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Sadegh Emad notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Pocklington AFC's Farhad Talebi. Farhad Talebi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Farhad Talebi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Younes Abedzadeh in the 67th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Pocklington AFC defense, Younes Abedzadeh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Farhad Talebi. The Pocklington AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Farhad Talebi should have stopped the shot. Rakhshan Badamaki scored 4-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Farhad Talebi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Borzoo Farhadi's late challenge caught a Birkenhead's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Borzoo Farhadi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Borzoo Farhadi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pocklington AFC's goalkeeper Farhad Talebi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amir Hamidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahman Rafipour having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Amir Hamidi took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Bahman Rafipour to make any attempt to save it. Sattar Omrani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahman Rafipour having to interfere. The Birkenhead players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
