The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hesam Ghods showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Azad Eshkevari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hesam Ghods saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azad Eshkevari struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Hesam Ghods didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitworth. Hesam Ghods showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sahand Rahmati in the 25th minute of the match. When Whitworth's Sahand Rahmati in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hesam Ghods showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Azad Eshkevari in the 36th minute of the match. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Whitworth's goalkeeper Salman Roudbarian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Ferdows Haghi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iran Academy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdows Haghi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salman Roudbarian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Azad Eshkevari blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hesam Ghods having to make a save. Whitworth's Koosha Vaezi suffered a sore thigh after 45 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Sohrab Hejazi got his second yellow card in the match during the 45th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Whitworth booed when Iran Academy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sohrab Hejazi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jalil Borhani hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jahandar Parsivand was the one to do the kick off. Hesam Ghods made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azad Eshkevari in the 57th minute of play. After 59 minutes, Jahandar Parsivand made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Whitworth's Salman Roudbarian tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hesam Ghods made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Azad Eshkevari sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Azad Eshkevari in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hesam Ghods prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Nader Sajjadi fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Whitworth's protests and gave Nader Sajjadi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Whitworth's Nader Sajjadi got a free kick in the 74th minute. Hesam Ghods stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Azad Eshkevari's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jahandar Parsivand in the 78th minute of play forced Whitworth's goalkeeper Salman Roudbarian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Whitworth's Azad Eshkevari ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hesam Ghods. Hesam Ghods yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Azad Eshkevari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Whitworth's Azad Eshkevari got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Iran Academy FC's Ferdows Haghi got a free kick in the 91st minute. Whitworth's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
