This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Massoud Ghotbi as he didn't even see the shot coming. 42 minutes into the game, Saeed Artoonian threw the ball into play from the sideline. Eastern Kurdistan FC's Hooman Hejazi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ali Barzegar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eastern Kurdistan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Barzegar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Massoud Ghotbi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Hooman Hejazi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Sawtry getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Saeed Artoonian hit a great ball. If Hooman Hejazi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Massoud Ghotbi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hooman Hejazi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eastern Kurdistan FC's Behrad Fattahi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gholam Reza Fallah Hamidabadi in the 71st minute of play.
