Ali Barzegar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amir Parsa Rahmati having to interfere. Kamran Moradi made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Eastern Kurdistan FC's Hooman Hejazi. 15 minutes into the match, Hereford United's goal looked a bit too open when Hooman Hejazi came free, but Amir Parsa Rahmati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amir Parsa Rahmati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Barzegar in the 16th minute of play. Kianoosh Tabari might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amir Parsa Rahmati. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kianoosh Tabari ran back to his position shaking his head. Ali Barzegar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. In the 47th minute Ali Barzegar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amir Parsa Rahmati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ali Barzegar was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Hereford United's Amir Parsa Rahmati got control of the ball when Ali Barzegar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ali Barzegar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amir Parsa Rahmati read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. When Ali Barzegar came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Eastern Kurdistan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Barzegar couldn't finish the play. 2-2 became the score in the 90th minute when Shervin Azimi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ali Barzegar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Eastern Kurdistan FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
