After 8 minutes, Sajjad Butt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Great Ayton` and the Handsworth players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Great Ayton` was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sajjad Butt to maneuver through the defense. After 14 played minutes Handsworth got a freekick which was hit by Raza Shakir. Sajjad Butt shot a long shot in the 15th minute and a light blocked Farhan Mushtaq hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Handsworth's Shaukat Sial got a free kick in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Razi Jamil notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Handsworth's Farhan Mushtaq. Farhan Mushtaq was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute Imran Rashid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shafqat Zahid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Farhan Mushtaq showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amjad Qureshi in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Imran Rashid made a precise shot to the right of Shafqat Zahid. Great Ayton`'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Razi Jamil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Handsworth's goal looked a bit too open when Amjad Qureshi came free, but Farhan Mushtaq reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shafqat Zahid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rahman Naseem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rahman Naseem in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shafqat Zahid prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amjad Qureshi to make the kick off. If Rahman Naseem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Handsworth's Imran Rashid in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Great Ayton`'s goalie prevented a goal. After 56 played minutes Handsworth got a freekick which was hit by Talha Ghiaz. When Razi Jamil came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Great Ayton` fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Razi Jamil couldn't finish the play. After 65 minutes, Shaukat Sial mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Handsworth and the Great Ayton` players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Handsworth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaukat Sial to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Great Ayton` defense, Imran Rashid kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shafqat Zahid. The Great Ayton` fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shafqat Zahid should have stopped the shot. In the 86th minute, Handsworth's Imran Rashid dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. After a rather tough play, Handsworth's Raza Shakir got a free kick in the 95th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amjad Qureshi in the 96th minute of play forced Handsworth's goalkeeper Farhan Mushtaq to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
