If Rafiq Shahid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Eccles booed when Stroud United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Khalid Mushtaq didn't get a good kick on the ball. Razi Wahid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Parvaiz Asif in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Husnain Mazhar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stroud United's Saeed Chaudary couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Eccles. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arshad Shan in the 75th minute of play forced Stroud United's goalkeeper Taimoor Awais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
