Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Moazzam Rehman made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 7th minute Barry Golding shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mudasser Qureshi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Sufyan Shayan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wellesbourne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Sufyan Shayan might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oscar Chappell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sufyan Shayan ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Golcar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Wellesbourne:s goal. After a rather tough play, Golcar's Barry Golding got a free kick in the 17th minute. When Sufyan Shayan came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Wellesbourne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sufyan Shayan couldn't finish the play. Moazzam Rehman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Chappell having to interfere. Sufyan Shayan might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oscar Chappell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sufyan Shayan ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Golcar's zone, Sufyan Shayan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Chappell came out of the goal and Sufyan Shayan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacob Pamplin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Golcar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! When Seth Gray came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Golcar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seth Gray couldn't finish the play. Aftab Meman hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Golcar's Brad Boston tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Golcar's Oscar Chappell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Golcar from getting a goal against them. Sufyan Shayan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Chappell having to interfere. Oscar Chappell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moazzam Rehman in the 48th minute of play.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Seth Gray to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Razzaq Hannan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wellesbourne and the Golcar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brad Boston kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Aftab Meman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sufyan Shayan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Oscar Chappell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Brad Boston hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Wellesbourne's Kamil Shahrukh tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the game, Sajjad Nouman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wellesbourne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golcar the free kick. Seth Gray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Mudasser Qureshi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Sufyan Shayan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellesbourne's supporters rose to their feet, but Sufyan Shayan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Chappell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sufyan Shayan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Oscar Chappell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wellesbourne's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
