CJ Chipperfield charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed CJ Chipperfield the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. CJ Chipperfield kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Bobby Sinclair made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sikandar Nouman in the 6th minute. The supporters of Swaffham United booed when Mansfield United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ash Blackwater didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Imran Aamish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tayyab Lodhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from CJ Chipperfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Mansfield United's Kris Beckett nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sikandar Nouman in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bobby Sinclair prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Swaffham United's Sikandar Nouman in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mansfield United's goalie prevented a goal. Sikandar Nouman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Swaffham United's goal looked a bit too open when Matty Potterton came free, but Tayyab Lodhi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tayyab Lodhi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matty Potterton in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sikandar Nouman in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bobby Sinclair saved Mansfield United from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Sikandar Nouman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bobby Sinclair was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 52nd minute, Shaukat Rasheed got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Mansfield United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ash Blackwater to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sikandar Nouman in the 61st minute of play forced Mansfield United's goalkeeper Bobby Sinclair to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th match minute, Swaffham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Imran Jaffar to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Swaffham United's zone, Darren Henwood stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tayyab Lodhi came out of the goal and Darren Henwood tried to chip the ball over his head.
