Esmael Al Barrak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Khalel Al Ammar having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Ali Abol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kerala Blasters FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Abol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Khalel Al Ammar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Kerala Blasters FC's zone, Shaheen Al Ajmi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basel Bo Qamaz came out of the goal and Shaheen Al Ajmi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kerala Blasters FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
