Jaffer Bahbhani scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shaheen Taqi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Jaffer Bahbhani came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Goldthorpe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaffer Bahbhani couldn't finish the play. Sanad Al Habshi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Shaker Al Ghanem fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Caistor City's Sayer Al Gareb got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Goldthorpe's Jaffer Bahbhani got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Sanad Al Habshi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ghanim Al Motaire was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Goldthorpe's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 39th minute, Sanad Al Habshi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Ghanim Al Motaire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goldthorpe's supporters rose to their feet, but Ghanim Al Motaire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shaheen Taqi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sanad Al Habshi came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
