After having played for 29 minutes, Yasser Al Motar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yasser Al Motar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faris Al Ghanem in the 30th minute of play forced Istanbul Forever's goalkeeper Nawaf Sarkhoh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faris Al Ghanem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Nawaf Sarkhoh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee ignored Manchester United's protests and gave Sajid Al Enzi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, one of Manchester United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Manchester United. Manchester United:s Shehab Al Qattan showed great skill when he stopped Yousef Shalan:s penalty. Yousef Shalan scored 0-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shehab Al Qattan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mubarek Al Adsani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Yasser Al Motar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
