Spectators: 9333 (Terracing: 7001, Seating: 2147, VIP seats: 185) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Philippe-Arnaud ter Averst kicked off to start the match. Joop Minnen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derar Bo Abbas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bandar Taiban could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Khaled Al Banai made a huge save. Khaled Al Banai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bandar Taiban in the 21st minute of play. Mahmoud Al Adsani lost his temper 22 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 22nd minute, Mahmoud Al Adsani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Khaled Al Banai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yazeed Dehrab in the 25th minute of play. Sharjah FC's Joop Minnen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derar Bo Abbas in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes Sharjah FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Derar Bo Abbas who took care of the corner kick. Khaled Al Banai stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bandar Taiban's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Virgiliu Istrate charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgiliu Istrate the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ghasan Shabakhoh hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Ayman Jiragh, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Derar Bo Abbas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Al Badaa Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Derar Bo Abbas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joop Minnen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 51 played minutes Sharjah FC got a freekick which was hit by Shjae Al Sallal. Al Badaa Fc's Khaled Al Banai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ayman Jiragh in the 58th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Shjae Al Sallal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Khaled Al Banai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 71 played minutes Al Badaa Fc got a freekick which was hit by Philippe-Arnaud ter Averst. Ayman Jiragh might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Khaled Al Banai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ayman Jiragh ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Sharjah FC booed when Al Badaa Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waleed Al Mansor didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Derar Bo Abbas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joop Minnen. That made the score 2-1 in the 84 minute of play. Khaled Al Banai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yazeed Dehrab in the 87th minute of the match. Sharjah FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ayman Jiragh in the 89th minute. A collision led to Al Badaa Fc getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Faustino Sansone hit a great ball. When Bandar Taiban came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Sharjah FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bandar Taiban couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Al Badaa Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Meshal Al Herz came free, but Khaled Al Banai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
