In the 19th minute, Ali Al Arbash left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Al Wasl Dubai FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ali Al Arbash could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Everardo Baumer made a huge save. If Awwad Abo Al Hasan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Mortada Al Shaikh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Zander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes, Meteb Al Qatam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Al Wasl Dubai FC and the Al-Nassr Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Al-Nassr Football Club booed when Al Wasl Dubai FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Meteb Al Qatam didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 played minutes, Al-Nassr Football Club's Yaqoot Al Hashash shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sten Zander came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Al-Nassr Football Club reached it. Al-Nassr Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Al Wasl Dubai FC the free kick. After 77 played minutes Al-Nassr Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sancho. After 78 minutes, Waldemar Dracena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Al-Nassr Football Club and the Al Wasl Dubai FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 82 minutes into the match, Al-Nassr Football Club's Mortada Al Shaikh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sten Zander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sten Zander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the game, Monther Al Srae threw the ball into play from the sideline. Al Wasl Dubai FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Meteb Al Qatam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Baumer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
