Spectators: 9193 (Terracing: 6896,
Seating: 2114, VIP seats: 183) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hani Al Hashash got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes djiwns got a freekick which was hit by Moner Al Wazan. If Gibrel Taqi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salah Al Homaithe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the game, Hani Al Hashash cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Mostafa Bahbhani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mostafa Bahbhani made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Hani Al Hashash sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of SALT booed when djiwns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dawood Al Ghanem didn't get a good kick on the ball. Farooq Al Muwail's late challenge caught a djiwns's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Farooq Al Muwail helped the player get up and apologised. Farooq Al Muwail hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Salam Al Khames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malin Malard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Adnan Al Motar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Gibrel Taqi notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of djiwns's Mostafa Bahbhani. Mostafa Bahbhani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Riad Kakoli was the one to do the kick off. Gibrel Taqi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mostafa Bahbhani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hani Al Hashash's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Adnan Al Motar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Riad Kakoli in the 59th minute of the match. Hani Al Hashash sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute Hani Al Hashash shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mostafa Bahbhani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of SALT:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of djiwns:s goal. The goalkeeper, Adnan Al Motar, was totally fooled by djiwns's Ramadan Al Harban, who 68 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hani Al Hashash in the 74th minute of play forced djiwns's goalkeeper Mostafa Bahbhani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adnan Al Motar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Riad Kakoli in the 75th minute of the match. When Malin Malard fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored djiwns's protests and gave Malin Malard a yellow card for diving instead. Malin Malard hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute of the match, Riad Kakoli tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adnan Al Motar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, SALT's Rajab Al Enzi got a free kick in the 85th minute. Moner Al Wazan charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moner Al Wazan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Farooq Al Muwail struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Mostafa Bahbhani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SALT. After some careless play in the SALT defense, Malin Malard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adnan Al Motar. The SALT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adnan Al Motar should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Malin Malard kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adnan Al Motar. That made the score 2-3 in the 98 minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see SALT lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
