When Teofilo Gutierrez-Pacheco in the 16th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Msaed Shalan kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 4-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 19th minute, Teofilo Gutierrez-Pacheco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DUBAI Palm Jumeirah fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The DUBAI Palm Jumeirah fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's Teofilo Gutierrez-Pacheco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nabel Al Naqi in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aguirre Verde saved DUBAI Palm Jumeirah from getting behind. Zbyszko Rywin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Msaed Shalan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yaqoot Al Saleh charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yaqoot Al Saleh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd match minute, Al Ain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yaqoot Al Saleh to maneuver through the defense. Msaed Shalan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berker Sani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berker Sani in the 76th minute of play forced Al Ain's goalkeeper Msaed Shalan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Saed Al Hindi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
