In the 19th minute, Ilya Biskupskiy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladimir Rozhkov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Vladimir Rozhkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilya Biskupskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Kirkby United's goalkeeper Felix Talalikhin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mikhail Chuvilev. After 27 played minutes Kirkby United got a freekick which was hit by Arkadiy Petrov. In the 28th minute Egor Kondratiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Talalikhin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Egor Kondratiev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felix Talalikhin was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Marat Demaratov made the kick off in the second half. Svyatoslav Kuznetsov kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Vladimir Rozhkov made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Ilya Biskupskiy sent off a good shot on target. Gleb Fedeshov's late challenge caught a Knaresborough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gleb Fedeshov helped the player get up and apologised. Gleb Fedeshov hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Knaresborough's Egor Kondratiev got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladimir Rozhkov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marat Koptev in the 63rd minute. Felix Talalikhin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egor Kondratiev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marat Demaratov in the 68th minute of play forced Knaresborough's goalkeeper Vladimir Rozhkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egor Kondratiev struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Felix Talalikhin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knaresborough. Egor Kondratiev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mikhail Ageev took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 98th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Felix Talalikhin. Kirkby United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Knaresborough lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
