Spectators: 6881 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1881, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dmitriy Firsov got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Eccles AFC booed when Whitwell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitaliy Korolev didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes Eccles AFC got a freekick which was hit by Filimon Hristenko. If Vadim Simonyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Anton Dizhbak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th match minute, Eccles AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rustam Sidorov to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Whitwell defense, Dmitriy Firsov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stanislav Globa. The Whitwell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stanislav Globa should have stopped the shot. Vadim Simonyan hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Anton Dizhbak notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Eccles AFC's Vsevolod Mavlyanov. Vsevolod Mavlyanov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rd minute Anton Dizhbak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vsevolod Mavlyanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anton Dizhbak to strike the kick off in the second half. Vsevolod Mavlyanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Dizhbak in the 52nd minute of play. Vadim Simonyan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Whitwell's Anton Dizhbak in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Eccles AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Anton Dizhbak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Stanislav Globa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dmitriy Firsov in the 73rd minute of the match. Anton Dizhbak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Whitwell's Andrey Satarov got a free kick in the 75th minute. Andrey Satarov struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Vsevolod Mavlyanov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitwell. Eccles AFC's Dmitriy Firsov suffered a concussion in the 84th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. A collision led to Whitwell getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Vitaliy Korolev hit a great ball. In the 86th minute of the match Filimon Hristenko shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stanislav Globa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vsevolod Mavlyanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Dizhbak in the 89th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Eccles AFC's zone, Anton Dizhbak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vsevolod Mavlyanov came out of the goal and Anton Dizhbak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Whitwell played a much better game than Eccles AFC and deserved their victory. The Eccles AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
