Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Petr Kudryashov got the match started through his kick off. Gennadiy Istomin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, German Chkalov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 6th match minute, Ipplepen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dmitriy Bystrov to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Thurlaston getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Andrey Boichenko hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Andrey Boichenko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but German Chkalov was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 19 minutes into the match, Ipplepen's goalkeeper German Chkalov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gennadiy Istomin. German Chkalov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrey Boichenko in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Ipplepen's goal looked a bit too open when Petr Kudryashov came free, but German Chkalov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Roman Ryabin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladislav Shiryaev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 29 minutes, Petr Kudryashov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thurlaston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petr Kudryashov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gennadiy Istomin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. German Chkalov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Petr Kudryashov came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Thurlaston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petr Kudryashov couldn't finish the play. Vladislav Shiryaev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Ryabin in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Afanasev in the 40th minute of play forced Thurlaston's goalkeeper Vladislav Shiryaev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladislav Shiryaev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Ryabin, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Ipplepen were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
German Chkalov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gennadiy Istomin in the 51st minute of the match. Roman Ryabin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Vladislav Shiryaev made a huge save. Velimir Smekalin charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Velimir Smekalin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Velimir Smekalin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd match minute, Ipplepen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anatoliy Achuev to maneuver through the defense. Vladislav Shiryaev was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Velimir Smekalin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 66 minute of play. Vladislav Shiryaev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dmitriy Bystrov in the 70th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Ipplepen's Mark Afanasev dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Velimir Smekalin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th match minute, Thurlaston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrey Boichenko to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gennadiy Istomin in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg German Chkalov saved Ipplepen from getting behind. In the 90th minute, Pavel Mamasuev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Ipplepen's zone, Andrey Boichenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. German Chkalov came out of the goal and Andrey Boichenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ipplepen eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
