Jon Cardeño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ippolit Antyshev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the game, one of Ely United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Kazajistán Youngs Boys a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Innokentiy Demyanov, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ely United's Ilya Kamburov. 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Ippolit Novikov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilya Kamburov. Ely United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ippolit Novikov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 19th minute, Ippolit Novikov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Dmitriy Malyavinskiy fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ely United's protests and gave Dmitriy Malyavinskiy a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ely United's Dmitriy Malyavinskiy got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 21 minutes of play Ely United's Dmitriy Malyavinskiy was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Dmitriy Malyavinskiy hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Filimon Rakhmanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jon Cardeño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Georgiy Vekshin struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ilya Kamburov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kazajistán Youngs Boys. Filipp Ganenfeldt hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Ilya Kamburov came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Kazajistán Youngs Boys's Georgiy Vekshin. But to his dismay, Georgiy Vekshin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filimon Rakhmanov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ippolit Novikov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilya Kamburov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Georgiy Vekshin in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilya Kamburov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georgiy Vekshin in the 67th minute of play forced Ely United's goalkeeper Ilya Kamburov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filimon Rakhmanov in the 69th minute of play forced Kazajistán Youngs Boys's goalkeeper Jon Cardeño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Kazajistán Youngs Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Filipp Ganenfeldt came free, but Jon Cardeño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Maksim Kreindlin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kazajistán Youngs Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ely United the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filimon Rakhmanov couldn't finish the play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 78th minute, but Ilya Kamburov got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Ely United hanging dry this time. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georgiy Vekshin in the 80th minute of play forced Ely United's goalkeeper Ilya Kamburov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ippolit Novikov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ilya Kamburov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ely United's Ilya Kamburov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georgiy Vekshin in the 83rd minute of play. Ely United's Filimon Rakhmanov got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ippolit Novikov took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilya Kamburov. Ilya Kamburov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Kazajistán Youngs Boys's Georgiy Vekshin got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sergey Golovnitskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Ilya Kamburov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kazajistán Youngs Boys walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
