After having played for 13 minutes, Andrey Abashidze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ashton Under Hill United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrey Abashidze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15thth minute of the game Andrey Abashidze who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kairat MZFC's Vladislav Barantsov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baltasar Berenguer might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aleksey Khokhlov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baltasar Berenguer ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ashton Under Hill United's goalkeeper Aleksey Khokhlov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Baltasar Berenguer sped through Ashton Under Hill United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aleksey Khokhlov. 32 minutes into the match, Kairat MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arkadiy Arshenevskiy came free, but Vladislav Barantsov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrey Abashidze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baltasar Berenguer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arkadiy Arshenevskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 48th minute, Andrey Abashidze ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladislav Barantsov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Baltasar Berenguer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kairat MZFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltasar Berenguer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksey Khokhlov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrey Abashidze's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vladislav Barantsov firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Ashton Under Hill United booed when Kairat MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmund Ochylski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kairat MZFC's Aimar Rabanal got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Arkadiy Arshenevskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmund Ochylski got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Edmund Ochylski kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Ashton Under Hill United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
