In the 9th minute Zahar Babkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Van De Broeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksandr Dikikh in the 11th minute of play forced GÓRNIK ZABRZE's goalkeeper Mark Van De Broeck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 played minutes GÓRNIK ZABRZE got a freekick which was hit by Artem Alymov. After a defensive mix-up in Oswaldtwistle AFC's zone, Márton Irmai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gennadiy Yablonskiy came out of the goal and Márton Irmai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gennadiy Yablonskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lian Cai in the 16th minute of play. Mark Van De Broeck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filimon Kaziev went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gennadiy Yablonskiy made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Anatoliy Guschin sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anatoliy Guschin got free with Gennadiy Yablonskiy in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Oswaldtwistle AFC's Gennadiy Yablonskiy got control of the ball when Konstantin Abertasov tried to sneak it across the goal line. GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Márton Irmai was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 28th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 38th minute, Zahar Babkin made a precise shot to the right of Mark Van De Broeck. GÓRNIK ZABRZE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Mark Van De Broeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zahar Babkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The supporters of GÓRNIK ZABRZE booed when Oswaldtwistle AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksandr Dikikh didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Márton Irmai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gennadiy Yablonskiy. Oswaldtwistle AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Márton Irmai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After a rather tough play, Oswaldtwistle AFC's Aleksandr Dikikh got a free kick in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Vladimir Mishin threw the ball into play from the sideline. GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Katon Feryanto quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Gennadiy Yablonskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márton Irmai in the 61st minute of play. Aleksandr Dikikh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Mark Van De Broeck made a huge save. Filimon Kaziev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Mark Van De Broeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 67 minutes into the game, when Gendo Sinuhaji put in a rough tackle. In the 68th match minute, GÓRNIK ZABRZE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gendo Sinuhaji to maneuver through the defense. Danila Smolkin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gennadiy Yablonskiy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Márton Irmai's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute of the match GÓRNIK ZABRZE got a corner. Oswaldtwistle AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Katon Feryanto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Katon Feryanto made a great header on GÓRNIK ZABRZE's corner, it was just that Oswaldtwistle AFC's Gennadiy Yablonskiy managed to reach the ball for a save. Gennadiy Yablonskiy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lian Cai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gennadiy Yablonskiy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. GÓRNIK ZABRZE were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
