When Filimon Koroteev fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Caspiy's protests and gave Filimon Koroteev a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes FC Caspiy got a freekick which was hit by Filimon Koroteev. Astana United's Gleb Fishbein couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Caspiy. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klim Muravev in the 15th minute of play forced Astana United's goalkeeper Rustam Boyarintsev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Arkhip Repin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the game, Filipp Debabov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rustam Boyarintsev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Caspiy's Martyn Baiseitov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Caspiy from getting a goal against them. After 24 played minutes FC Caspiy got a freekick which was hit by Arkhip Repin. The long shot by Gleb Fishbein in the 25th minute really tested Martyn Baiseitov's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Saveliy Dubchak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Baiseitov having to interfere. After 33 minutes of play, FC Caspiy's Filipp Debabov made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rustam Boyarintsev was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Astana United getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Saveliy Dubchak hit a great ball. Astana United's Rustam Boyarintsev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klim Muravev in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klim Muravev in the 43rd minute of play forced Astana United's goalkeeper Rustam Boyarintsev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filipp Debabov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, FC Caspiy's Klim Muravev ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rustam Boyarintsev. Rustam Boyarintsev yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. When Denis Domeiko fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Caspiy's protests and gave Denis Domeiko a yellow card for diving instead. 57 minutes into the game, Vladislav Shelepin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Martyn Baiseitov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of FC Caspiy booed when Astana United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladislav Shelepin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rustam Boyarintsev made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Klim Muravev sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the match, Astana United's goal looked a bit too open when Filipp Debabov came free, but Rustam Boyarintsev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, FC Caspiy's Rustam Boyarintsev threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Filipp Debabov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rustam Boyarintsev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipp Debabov in the 69th minute of the match. FC Caspiy's Martyn Baiseitov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladislav Shelepin in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Gleb Fishbein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimir Bogdanov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 83rd play minutes Klim Muravev shot 1-5, a short shot which went by Rustam Boyarintsev and just under the crossbar into goal. 86 minutes into the game, Stepan Arakelyan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astana United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Caspiy the free kick. Stepan Arakelyan hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Astana United's Roman Lukin got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 94th match minute, Astana United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitaliy Suhanov to maneuver through the defense. Rustam Boyarintsev was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Filimon Koroteev. Klim Muravev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Rustam Boyarintsev made a huge save.
