To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the match, Trowell United's goal looked a bit too open when Berk Ozaner came free, but Volkan Demirel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Konstantin Fryazin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Volkan Demirel to make any attempt to save it. 14 minutes into the match, Berk Ozaner dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Volkan Demirel, 2-0. Volkan Demirel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Belyavskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Anatoliy Shtein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Roman Belyavskiy came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the FC Turan Turkestan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Belyavskiy couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Turan Turkestan fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Trowell United a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rogério Cruz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Turan Turkestan's Carlos Eduardo Breckenfeld. 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Volkan Demirel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestrs Sildegs, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Turan Turkestan's zone, Rogério Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Eduardo Breckenfeld came out of the goal and Rogério Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute, Silvestrs Sildegs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Turan Turkestan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-3. FC Turan Turkestan's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
