The corner led Astana United's Gleb Fishbein to fire away a dangerous shot which Januario Alfaro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin van Persie in the 17th minute of play forced Astana United's goalkeeper Rustam Boyarintsev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
