When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Robin van Persie put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Claes Hedström. Kaisar Astana's Robin van Persie got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claes Hedström came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Kaisar Astana's Marvin Ancheta. But to his dismay, Marvin Ancheta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After 18 minutes, Ruslan Kudryavtsev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wigston and the Kaisar Astana players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Wigston got a freekick which was hit by Ruslan Kudryavtsev. Claes Hedström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robin van Persie went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin van Persie in the 24th minute of play forced Wigston's goalkeeper Claes Hedström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Robin van Persie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Claes Hedström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kaljo Püss took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claes Hedström. Claes Hedström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. In the 32ndth minute of the game Robin van Persie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wigston's Claes Hedström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Claes Hedström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin van Persie, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robin van Persie in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claes Hedström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Robin van Persie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robin van Persie to strike the kick off in the second half. Claes Hedström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-11. Robin van Persie might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claes Hedström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robin van Persie ran back to his position shaking his head. Cruz Viana took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claes Hedström. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Robin van Persie put it in 0-13 from a short distance just to the right of Claes Hedström. Kaisar Astana's Robin van Persie was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 84th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Erubiel Chus kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Cruz Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claes Hedström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cruz Viana ran back to his position shaking his head. Kaisar Astana's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
