Trowell United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. 92 minutes into the match, Kaisar Astana's Kaljo Püss sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Volkan Demirel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruslan Kulikov in the 94th minute of play forced Trowell United's goalkeeper Volkan Demirel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
